Narrative therapy and counselling service in Cambridge
Face to face, by phone & online
My work as a counsellor and therapist initially began in Auckland, New Zealand, where I worked for Youthline as a volunteer telephone counsellor supporting young people in crisis.
I completed a Postgraduate training in Narrative Counselling and Therapy in Auckland in 2011 and gained experience working as a counsellor in education and then health, before starting my own independent practice. I worked counselling students in a local secondary school in Auckland and then at Auckland University. Following this I moved on to work for many years at a residential drug and alcohol treatment programme with the Salvation Army, and then on returning to the UK, with Cambridge’s NHS led drug and alcohol service, Inclusion.
I now work full time in private practice in Cambridge.

I enjoy networking and am open to the journey of developing professional contacts with other counsellors and therapists in Cambridge and further afield. I maintain contact with many of my collegues in Aotearoa- New Zealand, so distance is not an issue.
On a personal note
I am a dual citizen of Aotearoa-New Zealand and the UK and I lived in Auckland for 12 years before before returning to the UK in early 2017. I am a father, a son, a brother, an uncle and a husband. Before becoming a therapist and counsellor I worked in the arts and heritage, an area I continue to engage with as a maker of ceramics.
